Howley Weir is running
Another hydropower plant in England produces clean energy
We completed another hydropower plant near the town of Warrington in Northwest England. Howley Weir spans the width of the River Mersey, which is connected to the Manchester Ship Canal, where we successfully developed many hydropower plants.
A single Archimedes screw has a maximum power output of 160 kW, with a plant’s capacity of 10 m3/s and a head of 2.2 metres. The powerhouse covers all the electromechanical equipment.
HYDROPOL provided permitting, design, EPC contract and all technology equipment for this SHPP, and it’s responsible for the maintenance and operation of this plant.
