Beli Iskar

Project review

1st stage of the Beli Iskar dam rehabilitation represented one of the most important construction projects in Bulgaria in 2002. The dam was exposed to major seepage and structural problems.

The project included dam consolidation and grouting works, construction of new plinth, outlet replacement, new instrumentation and new upstream dam wall isolation with advanced geomembrane system.
